FURRY-TYPE
agilon pantyhose where the nylon filaments look hairy. The hair disapears when stretched
onto the leg. |

gusset

a panel built into
the crotch where you would normaly find the cotton in a pair of cotton crotch hose.
sometimes, as in the case of these gorgeous vintage Philippe Matignon pantyhose,
the gusset is nylon. (yes the hose are for sale: they're not on my site. They're
$12.00, available in size small, white with vertical stripes only.

panty top of brief

I hate to use the word brief because there's nothing brief about a panty top on a
pair of vintage pantyhose. It is heavier than the leg unless the pantyhose are sheer
to waist. (see the picture of the pressed pantyhose below for a glimpse of sheer
to waist). |
pressed

The term pressed is generaly used more in conjunction with stockings: they are pressed
in a heat press to make them look good on the card. (the stamps on stocking welts
were applied with heat as well). Pressed stockings look a hell of alot better than
crush-strerch stockings but are generally baggier. They have a tendancy not to cling
to the leg as well. |

old-school sandal
toe

We all know what
a sandal toe is, but here's a funky one: a crush-stretch pantyhose with a flat-knit
sandal toe. An incredible difference between the two textures, and incredibly sexy.

Ultra sheer

ultra sheers tend to feel more brittle than regular nylons. they hide nothing: blemishes
and all will show through these. They look great at night and can definitely be inappropriate
for work which is all the more reason to wear them to work. |
